Gillie won the Cartier award for her work of Henry VIII
The Jacques Cartier Memorial Award is the most prestigious prize in the annual Goldsmiths’ Craft and Design Council competition. In 2007 Gillie Hoyte Byrom won this award for her painted enamel interpretation of Holbein’s ‘King Henry VIII’
